As the Busser/Server's Assistant, you will serve customers and present great customer service by setting tables; adhering to sanitation and safety policies; clearing and cleaning tables, chairs, and maintain the overall cleanliness of the dining establishment.
What Your Day Will Look Like
- Clear all used tableware, napkins and refuse from tables to bus station
- Wipe tables, chairs and clears debris and crumbs from floor areas surrounding table
- Assist wait staff by refilling customers beverages and accommodating requests for additional condiments, food items or clean/fresh tableware
- Maintain a clean, well-stocked and orderly bus station at all times in order to improve efficiency and productivity
- Retrieve cleaned dishes, glassware and utensils from the dish room and distributes to each service station in order to keep a ready supply available for restaurant use
- Must be able to identify and explain all dishes on current menus
- Perform other duties including running dishes, sweeping, emptying trash, filling waters
Requirements
WHAT IT TAKES TO SUCCEED
- You have basic math skills
- You have legible handwriting
- You can work well in a team
- You have strong customer service and oral communication skills
- You are frequently able to lift, carry, deliver and serve from trays weighing up to 50 pounds throughout the work shift
- You can balance serving tray on one hand while distributing orders to customers with the other
- You carry and set up folding table to support particularly heavy orders
- You take customer orders, review customer bills and smoothly navigate dining room, kitchen and other facility areas
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- U.S. Work Authorization (required).
