What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales Coordinator - New York position at German National Tourist Office?
Primary Duties may include but not limited to:
- Assist the Sales Manager in the organization of travel trade events in the USA and in Germany
- Participation in the development of the annual action plan of the sales department
- Organize and represent the GNTO at selected trade events and workshops across the U.S.
- Accompany trade study trips to Germany
- Organize and conduct trade webinars with German partners
- Monitoring, analysis and evaluation of all Germany products of US tour operators including updating and maintenance of sales database
- Coordination of joint marketing promotions with tour operators, travel professionals and German partners
- Assist in the preparation of presentations for the travel industry (tour operators, travel advisors, etc.)
- Assist the Sales Manager in the organization of the Germany Travel Mart and the Destination Germany Marketplace and Roadshow
- Tendering procedures for procurement (flights, rail travel, hotels, venue)
- Coordination of the travel arrangements of the participants
- Telemarketing and sending invitations to the travel trade.
- Coordination and place orders of promotional material and interface with head office in Frankfurt and US customs
- Support the planning and delivery of entertaining and informative webinars, sales calls (virtual and in person) and training programs with travel distribution partners and German suppliers.
- Budget preparation and update
- Reporting and updates on the success control

What you offer:
- Ability to work in USA ( Green card, Visa, US-Citizenship)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and in German
- Associate’s degree in marketing, tourism, communications or public relations
- 1 – 2 years of experience in the fields of sales support, training, marketing or event management (preferably in the tourism industry)
- Knowledge of tourism destination sales and marketing either via education or job experience preferred
- Excellent time management skills with ability to develop and adhere to independent deadlines
- Ability to multi-task and handle several projects at one time on tight deadlines
- Highly organized and willing to manage numerous administrative functions
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace
