Role Description The Claims Adjuster is a full-time, on-site role based in Sioux Center, IA. This role is responsible for investigating, evaluating, and resolving insurance claims, with a focus on property damage and related coverage issues. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing claim information, contacting policyholders and relevant parties, collecting documentation, and inspecting losses when needed. The Claims Adjuster will determine coverage, estimate damages, negotiate settlements within authorized limits, and maintain accurate and timely claim records. The role also involves working closely with agents, underwriters, and external vendors to ensure fair, efficient, and compliant claim resolutions while providing respectful and clear communication to clients.
Qualifications
- Strong claims handling skills, including experience reviewing, investigating, and resolving claims.
- Knowledge of insurance principles and practices, with familiarity in property damage and insurance claims.
- Experience in claims management, including documentation, workflow management, and adherence to regulatory and company guidelines.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to explain coverage decisions clearly and professionally.
- Attention to detail, analytical thinking, and sound judgment in assessing liability and damages.
- Ability to work on-site in Sioux Center, IA and collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
