European Automotive Technician, European Mechanic - German Auto Works

German Auto Works is a reputable and growing independent repair facility that specializes in BMW, Mercedes, Porsche and Audi. We are a 50 year old shop that is locally owned and operated with a convenient location on Excelsior BLVD in St. Louis Park. We are busy and growing shop and are actively hiring. We are looking for a high quality Technician that wants to excel in an environment that is less stressful than a dealer with no WEEKENDS!

About our shop:

Equipped with an extensive list of shop tools, equipment and resources. Many factory/OEM specialty tools. A full line of diagnostic tools including Factory ODIS for Audi with full subscription, Factory ISTA for BMW with full subscription, Autologic Blue box and new Assist Plus, Mercedes Benz Star for full coding and programming, Vag-com, Durametric among others. 4.1 average hours per ticket consistently for an A tech with two dedicated lifts. A techs 50 and B techs 40 book hours a week consistently. Scheduling out 3-4 days consistently. No sitting around waiting for work here. Front counter close rates are higher than industry standard. Not afraid to pre-sell diagnosis time. We are not a shop that will have you doing free stuff. We highly value your time. Automotive Training Institute (ATI) top 75 shops in the US every year since 2017 and top 50 in 2018, 2019 and 2020. 4.7 google rating means we are highly reputable and honest. We are a Monday thru Friday 8.00 am to 5.00 pm shop so no nights or weekend shifts.

Looking for:

1. An immediate full time A or B technician with specific experience in the makes we specialize in.

2. An immediate full or part time C technician that is willing to be trained in the makes and models we service. Someone who is self motivated, a team player that is hard working and looking for a place to exercise their expertise.

Job duties:

Show up for scheduled hours. Be able to diagnose customer concerns. Perform and recommend repairs that are needed. Perform and recommend maintenance services needed. Perform a digital safety inspection on every vehicle and identify and document possible issues or future concerns. Fill out electronic paperwork related to jobs and work with our software to document work performed.

Job requirements are:

Must have own tools, a valid drivers license, acceptable driving history, ASE or other certifications are a plus.

Compensation:

-Highly competitive in the industry, pay does vary based on experience.

-Multiple bonus structures available including sign-on bonus depending on experience level

-Tiered hourly pay structure.

Pay: $30.00 - $55.00 per hour
