What are the responsibilities and job description for the Service Greeter/Cashier - Lexus of Easton position at Germain Automotive?
Lexus of Easton is looking for a dedicated individual to join our elite group of professionals as a cashier/service greeter in our service department!
Working hours for this role will be 900 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. with an hourly rate of $17.00 - $19.00 per hour!
Job Responsibilities:
- Greet incoming customers and assist them out of their vehicles.
- Provide service advisors with customer information when they arrive.
- Assist and transferring customer belonging between vehicles.
- Keep service drive area clean and stocked with supplies.
- Shuttle service customer as needed.
- Pull service vehicles around during pick up.
- Take out trash.
- Check and adjust tire pressures.
- Help customers with vehicle concerns.
- Greets customers at the cashier window in a pleasant and professional manner.
- Computes customer bills.
- Receives cash, checks and credit card payments from customers; records amount received.
- Makes change and issues receipts to customers.
- Provides refunds or credit memorandums to customers for returned merchandise or as directed by managers.
- Reconciles cash drawer daily.
- Works with department managers to keep abreast of new products and services offered, their features and value and any changes in price.
- Answers customer questions about service performed or products purchased or refers them to someone who can.
- Handles customer complaints with integrity and poise and, when necessary, refers dissatisfied customers to the appropriate individuals for resolution.
- Reconciles gas purchase statements.
- Provides clerical and secretarial assistance to departments as needed.
- Acts as backup to switchboard operator.
- Maintains a professional appearance.
- Keeps work area neat and clean.
- Other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:
Qualifications:
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Prior automotive experience is not required but may be a plus.
Bilingualism is not required but can be very helpful.
Valid driver’s license is required.
Ability to pass pre-employment testing to include background check, drug test and motor vehicle report is required.
