What are the responsibilities and job description for the WELDING SHOP MANAGER position at Gerlinger Steel?
Gerlinger Steel & Supply is a multigenerational family business founded in 1929. We offer a relaxed, yet safety conscious workplace in our two facilities, Redding and Woodland, CA. We hope to be the company where you can make a career.
Our Welding Shop is in operation Monday through Friday and on weekends, depending on customer requirements. Primary welding processes include MIG, stick, and TIG on materials such as steel, stainless steel, and aluminum. Our facility produces a large variety of fabricated projects, with a large percentage requiring conformance to American Welding Society (AWS) criteria. Applicants must be an expert in AISC/AWS D1.1, D1.5, and D1.8; familiar with beam lines, CNC plasma, and welding systems. Must be fluent in reading and interpreting technical welding prints and drawings.
