Duties
- Prepare and dispense medications accurately for long-term care patients, ensuring adherence to prescribed treatments.
- Assist with medication intake processes, verifying prescriptions, and updating patient records.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure proper medication administration and patient care.
- Manage inventory, stock medications, and ensure proper storage according to safety protocols.
- Provide excellent patient service by addressing medication inquiries and ensuring timely delivery of medications.
- Maintain compliance with hospital or LTC facility policies, including documentation and record-keeping.
- Participate in medication reconciliation and assist with clinical documentation as needed.
Skills
- Proven experience in LTC pharmacy or hospital/acute care setting.
