Gerdau is seeking a dynamic and experienced Plant Controller to join our leadership team. This role is a strategic business partner to mill management, providing financial insight and leadership to help drive operational excellence and maximize return on capital employed.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead financial reporting and analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunitiesPrepare forecasts aligned with operational goals and project impactsEnsure compliance with GAAP across all financial transactionsPromote a strong internal control environment and adherence to company policiesDeliver monthly performance analysis to support cost reduction and profitabilitySupport capital project evaluations and business planningLead and develop a high-performing accounting team
Reporting Structure
You will report directly to the Vice President and General Manager and be a key member of the mill’s leadership team. Indirect reporting includes the Chief Accountant and Director of Financial Planning and Analysis.
Qualifications
- Degree in accounting, finance, or related field5–8 years of experience in cost and general accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and team leadershipPreferred certifications: CPA, CMA, CAStrong communication, analytical, and leadership Ability to drive results and continuous improvement
