PRINCIPLE ACTIVITIES:

Must be able to operate a Truck Tractor in a safe mannerPerform backing and turning of combination vehicle in tight working areas.Maintain required trip logs, records, and manifest.Complete all needed paperwork on a timely and accurate basis.Maintain vehicle appearance and cleanliness.Make minor repairs to truck tractors and trailers.Assist in loading and unloading as necessary.Perform other related duties as required.

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:                                                                                                               

Good communication skills.Must possess a Class A CDL.Good, clear verbal skills, English.Must be able to read and write English and comprehend at High School level.Familiar with DOT regulations concerning equipment safety.Must be able to work with little to no supervision.

REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum 2 years experience as a Commercial Truck Driver or completed Truck Driving School and one year of driving experience.Must be able to pass FMCSA DOT physical and Drug screen.Must be able to work required hours to complete all necessary tasks.Need good hand-eye coordination with a high level of dexterity.Must be able to climb stairs and ladders (up to approx. 20 feet)

ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS:                                                   

Must work in all weather conditions consistent with extreme ambient temperatures: Heat, cold, dust, wetness, and dryness.Exposure to solvents, oil, grease, oil absorb, etc.
