Key Responsibilities
- Identify and address improvement opportunities with leadership
- Lead or support high-impact projects
- Train and coach employees on tools and methodologies
- Drive process simplification and productivity gains
- Provide strategic guidance and support
- Manage project budgets and control costs
- Apply and promote improvement tools (Six Sigma, QIS, etc.)
- Support process stabilization and routine management
- Assist with ISO, QS, TS certification efforts
- Administer and train on relevant software
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of manufacturing continuous improvement experience required
- Knowledge of steel manufacturing and business functions (Commercial, HR, Finance, IT) preferred
- Solid statistical knowledge/background
- Responsible for managing corporate software programs that support the CI Program
- Certifications (e.g., Quality Process Analyst, DMAIC Green Belt, CPM) are a plus
- Familiarity with PDCA, DMAIC, TPM, Lean, ISO/TS/QS, and problem-solving tools
- Strong communication, teamwork, and leadership skills
- Intermediate to proficient working in systems such as Intelex, Teams Training in business systems, lean, quality tools, and basic statistics
- Ability to influence and build trust across all levels
- Ownership mindset with strategic thinking
- Valid passport, up to 75% travel to GLN sites (US and Canada) along with potential travel to Brazil.
