Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Collision Auto Body Technician role based in Edmond, OK. The technician will perform collision repairs including disassembly, structural and body repairs, panel alignment, and reassembly according to manufacturer and company standards. Daily responsibilities include inspecting vehicles, identifying required repairs, ordering or requesting parts, and working with estimators and painters to ensure accurate and timely completion of jobs. The technician will use a variety of tools and equipment to repair frames, body panels, and related components, while following safety and quality guidelines. Additional tasks include documenting work performed, maintaining a clean and organized work area, and collaborating with team members to meet production and customer service goals.
Qualifications:
- Strong skills in Vehicle Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair for collision-damaged vehicles.
- Experience with Automotive Repair, including body, frame, and related mechanical systems.
- Knowledge of Suspension systems and alignment considerations related to collision damage.
- Previous experience as an auto body or collision technician in a shop environment preferred.
- Familiarity with repair manuals, OEM procedures, and collision estimating systems is an asset.
- Ability to safely use body repair tools, welding equipment, and measuring systems.
- Attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and a focus on quality and safety.
- Ability to work on-site full time, stand for extended periods, and lift parts and equipment as required.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record; relevant certifications (I-CAR, ASE) are a plus.
