We’re looking for experienced Fabricator/Welders to join our team. The ideal candidate brings strong metal‑fabrication skills, solid welding experience, and the ability to build, assemble, and weld components with precision. Mechanical aptitude and confidence using a wide range of hand tools and equipment are essential. This role requires someone who can work independently, collaborate with a team, and remain flexible with overtime when needed.
What You’ll Do
- Perform TIG, MIG, and spot welding on wire cloth, sheet metal, and fabricated components according to job specifications.
- Fabricate products by cutting, forming, fitting, and assembling materials using fabrication tools, fixtures, and equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly.
- Set up welding machines, jigs, fixtures, and fabrication equipment for standard production jobs.
- Ensure proper alignment, fit‑up, and structural integrity of assemblies before and during welding operations.
- Inspect welds and finished products for quality, strength, dimensional accuracy, and compliance with specifications.
- Perform grinding, sanding, and finishing work on welded or fabricated components.
- Work with stainless steel, carbon steel, and specialty alloys used in wire cloth manufacturing.
- Troubleshoot basic welding and fabrication issues, including minor defects, equipment adjustments, and material inconsistencies.
- Maintain consistent production output while meeting quality, safety, and delivery requirements.
- Follow all safety procedures related to welding, fabrication equipment, PPE, and material handling.
- Maintain accurate production records, including job travelers, inspection logs, and material usage.
- Assist in training entry‑level operators and support workflow coordination within the fabrication area.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce waste, and increase operational efficiency.
- Contribute to team productivity by performing other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficient in MIG and TIG welding techniques for carbon and stainless steel.
- Ability to operate various hand tools and fabrication machinery effectively and safely.
- Strong attention to detail, ensuring that components are fabricated to high-quality standards.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a team.
- Commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Ability to follow safety guidelines and adhere to company protocols.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to challenges in the fabrication process.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in welding (e.g., AWS or equivalent).
- Previous experience in a fabrication environment is a plus.
