Automotive Mechanic / Diesel Technician Job
We are seeking a reliable, experienced Automotive Mechanic with diesel experience to join our team.
Description
The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and capable of diagnosing and repairing a wide range of gas and diesel vehicles and equipment. Must be able to provide your own hand tools. This position requires strong mechanical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work efficiently.
Responsibilities
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and performance issues on gas and diesel vehicles.
Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, brakes, tires, filters, fluid services, and A/C.
Repair and replace engines, transmissions, suspension systems, and other components.
Troubleshoot diesel systems including fuel, emissions, and electrical systems.
Conduct inspections and preventative maintenance.
Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify vehicle issues.
Maintain accurate service records and repair documentation.
Ensure all work is completed safely and according to industry standards.
Keep work area clean and organized.
Communicate repair needs and timelines with management and customers.
Qualifications
Previous experience as an automotive mechanic or diesel technician required.
Strong knowledge of diesel engines and automotive repair.
Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues.
Valid driver’s license is required.
Ability to lift heavy parts and work in various shop conditions.
Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
