Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dining environment. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in creating memorable dining experiences for our guests, ensuring their needs are met promptly and professionally.
Duties
- Greet and welcome guests with a friendly demeanor, providing excellent customer service throughout their dining experience.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using the Aloha POS or Micros POS systems, ensuring all details are captured correctly.
- Provide recommendations on menu items, including upselling specials and pairings to enhance the guest experience.
- Deliver food and beverages to tables in a timely manner while ensuring proper presentation and adherence to food safety standards.
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their meal, addressing any concerns or requests promptly.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure accurate order preparation and timely delivery of meals.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including bussing tables and assisting with sanitation practices.
- Process payments accurately using cash handling procedures and basic math skills to ensure smooth transactions.
- Assist with hosting duties when needed, including seating guests and managing reservations through OpenTable.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant roles is preferred, with fine dining experience being a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with guests and ensure their satisfaction.
- Knowledge of food handling practices, sanitation standards, and safety regulations within the food industry.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment.
- Basic math skills for processing payments and handling cash accurately.
- Experience with POS systems such as Aloha or Micros is highly desirable.
- Culinary experience or knowledge of food preparation techniques is an advantage.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also demonstrating independence when necessary.
