What you will do
As a Senior Associate, you will be involved in every phase of a consulting engagement, from pre-proposal research through final implementation. Almost immediately, you will join a Utilities/Energy project team, playing a vital role in supporting our clients in optimizing their procurement strategies for LNG terminal project. You will work closely with a team of experienced consultants, providing expertise and guidance to ensure efficient and cost-effective procurement practices for LNG terminal construction and operation.
- Gathering and analyzing client spend data and develop comprehensive procurement strategies tailored to their specific LNG terminal projects.
- Identify potential vendors, evaluate bids, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor relationships to ensure the procurement process aligns with the client's goals and budget.
- Analyze costs related to LNG terminal procurement, ensuring cost-efficient practices while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Identify potential risks in procurement processes and develop risk mitigation strategies to protect client interests.
- Stay up-to-date with relevant industry regulations and standards, ensuring all procurement activities adhere to legal and environmental requirements.
- Continuously monitor the LNG industry, keeping track of market trends, vendor performance, and emerging technologies to recommend improvements and innovations in procurement practices.
- Foster strong client relationships, actively engaging with clients to understand their needs and provide timely solutions and recommendations.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate procurement strategies, cost savings, and performance to clients and internal teams.
- Working closely with senior management and clients to create customized purchasing proposals.
- Introducing suppliers to the client's purchasing needs, eSourcing process, and reverse auction technology.
- Assisting with business development activities.
- Working with senior management to develop selling tools for key clients
What you should bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction management, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting or related field and at least 2years prior consulting experience.
- Proven experience and knowledge of spend data analyses, e-sourcing, procurement and supply chain processes is preferred.
- Prior experience on construction project sites or executing program management in the industries of aviation, commercial, energy, government, manufacturing, oil & gas, process, transmission & distribution, or water is preferred.
- Demonstrated excellent quantitative, analytical, and presentation skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite: including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel (ability to create formulas and to analyze data)
- Strong experience with document control, scheduling, cost control and project management software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to be on-site as needed
