HVAC Service Technician

First things first:

Can you diagnose issues with heating and refrigeration?
Do you have experience troubleshooting HVAC components?

If you answered yes, keep reading. You might be exactly who we're looking for.

We're looking for an experienced HVAC Service Technician who knows how to troubleshoot a system, figure out what's actually wrong, and get it running properly again.

You'll handle service calls and annual maintenance on both traditional forced-air HVAC systems and geothermal systems. Geothermal experience is definitely a plus, but if you're a solid HVAC technician who's willing to learn, don't let that stop you from applying.

And yes — you'll have a company service vehicle for work-related travel.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll spend most of your time out in the field taking care of our customers and their equipment. That includes:

• Diagnosing heating, cooling, refrigeration, electrical, airflow, and control problems
• Troubleshooting HVAC components and determining what actually needs to be repaired
• Servicing and repairing furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and geothermal systems
• Performing annual and preventative maintenance
• Inspecting equipment for safe and efficient operation
• Identifying worn or failing components before they become bigger problems
• Explaining what you found and what you recommend to the customer — in language they can actually understand
• Completing repairs and making sure the system is working properly before you leave
• Keeping accurate service records
• Taking care of your company vehicle, tools, and equipment
• Treating our customers, their homes, and their property with respect

What We're Looking For

We're not looking for someone who just knows how to swap parts. We need someone who can troubleshoot.

You should have:

• HVAC service and troubleshooting experience
• A solid understanding of heating, cooling, refrigeration, electrical systems, controls, and HVAC components
• The ability to diagnose a problem and determine the right repair
• The ability to read wiring diagrams and technical information
• Good mechanical and problem-solving skills
• The ability to work independently in the field
• Good communication skills and the ability to deal professionally with customers
• A valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
• EPA Section 608 certification preferred

Geothermal experience is a bonus, not a dealbreaker. If you're an experienced HVAC technician with strong diagnostic skills, we can teach you the geothermal side.
