Position Overview

Geotech Drilling Services is seeking experienced Diamond Core Drillers to support mineral exploration projects in both Idaho and Alaska. This is an excellent opportunity to work in dynamic environments with a leading drilling contractor.

Start Date: June 2026

Duration: 2- 5 Months

Key Requirements

• Proven experience as a Diamond Driller (surface)
• Strong safety mindset and ability to work in remote settings
• Helicopter-supported drilling experience required (Alaska position)

Schedules & Rotations

Idaho (Council, ID):

• 20 days on / 10 days off
• 12-hour shifts

Alaska (Remote Camp):

• 4 weeks on / 2 weeks off
• 12-hour shifts
• Remote, dry camp environment

Additional Details

• Rotation schedules vary by project location
• Alaska role requires working in a fly-in/fly-out, helicopter-supported environment
• Candidates may be considered for either or both project locations

Key Responsibilities

• Extract core samples using the Hydracore 2000 Or A5 Diamond Core Drills.
• Monitor instruments such as pressure gauges, feed or weight indicators as well as observe the volume, colour and consistency of the returns from the hole.
• Employ various sampling techniques according to project and client requirements.
• Record keeping as required/requested by the client and or Company.
• Operate and troubleshoot drill and ancillary equipment, including, but not limited to; trucks, support vehicles, pumps, heaters, compressors, mud re-circulation systems, etc.
• Supervise Drill Assistant and the drill crew to ensure compliance with HSE requirements.
• Ensure Driller Assistant maintains and organizes equipment, supplies and tooling for the drill rig and support vehicles.

Professional Experience / Qualifications

• Must maintain and possess a valid Driver's License.
• Must have minimum 5 years' experience in exploration surface drilling.
• Must have helicopter experience for Alaska only.
• Have the mechanical ability to troubleshoot and repair small equipment.
• Complete and pass a pre-employment drug & alcohol test.

Compensation:

$35.00 - $38.00 USD per hour bonuses
