Field Maintenance Technician- Athletic Surfaces (Springdale, AR)

Are you mechanically inclined with a knack for precision? Join our team as a Field Maintenance Technician! As a vital member of our service team, you'll collaborate closely with our Service Director to execute top-notch synthetic turf repairs and installations across various athletic facilities. This position is full-time, some flexibility is required as the schedule can vary due to weather and field availability.

Responsibilities

• Execute synthetic turf repairs and installations under the guidance of the Service Director
• Perform tasks including but not limited to: cutting and removing existing turf, meticulous cleaning of the area, precise cutting and placement of new turf, adhesive application, infill addition, turf brushing, and thorough cleanup
• Assist in equipment and tool maintenance and repair
• Ability to operate some equipment including Laymore sweeper and skid steer
• Job locations are generally within one-day travel distances, but availability for occasional extended trips is required as needed

• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Good organizational abilities with acute attention to detail
• Proficient time management skills to ensure efficient project completion
• Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and dedication to hard work
• Must be honest, responsible, and trustworthy
• Must have an up-to-date drivers license and a clean driving record
  
  

Requirements And Education

• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs., must be able to use skill saws, reciprocating saws, drills, turf brushes, carpet blades and other miscellaneous small tools
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Holder of current CDL or willing to work toward obtaining

The position requires regular manual labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. Candidates must be comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions - including extreme heat in the summer and cold in the winter.
