If so, GeoSpectrum Technologies Inc. is looking for you to join our team as a Technical Manager! We are experiencing rapid growth and require additional Technical Managers to support new sonar programs.
As a Technical Manager at our sonar engineering facility, you will provide technical leadership to large programs through their entire lifecycle, from kickoff to field commissioning. This highly technical role involves managing projects across various domains including software, firmware and controls, power and electronics, and mechanical and marine systems. You are expected to have strong capability in at least one of these areas with the ability and interest to coordinate subject matter experts across all domains.

Responsibilities
- Technical Ownership: Technical oversight of programs from kickoff to delivery, taking personal ownership of their success. Get things done.
- Project Process:Define technical requirements and lead your team through design, analysis, reviews, and tests.
- Resource Management: Understand your team's expertise and communicate staffing needs with Engineering management.
- Client Relations:Interface with external and internal clients on technical topics.
- Quality Assurance: Deliver good product.
- Risk Management: Anticipate, identify, mitigate, and manage risks and roadblocks.
- Communication: Engage with technical teams, clients, management, and other departments to ensure project alignment.
- Planning: Support the program manager in project planning including work breakdown, budgeting, and scheduling.
- Leadership and Mentorship:Provide direction and support to your technical team, ensuring their success.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering Technology, or IT.
- Extensive technical capability and experience that provides you with confidence to make multi-dimensional technical decisions.
- Experience interacting with SMEs, developers, and engineers from a variety of backgrounds.
- Demonstrated experience in project management, project engineering, or technical management.
- Leadership experience and training is considered an asset.
Security Requirements
All candidates must be eligible to apply for and maintain Canadian Controlled Goods and Canadian Government Security Clearances.
