Position Overview

The Fulfillment Team is responsible for picking and packing orders and maintaining the tool room and workstations at Geoshield USA’s Baton Rouge facility. This role focuses on ensuring accurate and timely order fulfillment, upholding a clean and organized work environment, and collaborating with the Baton Rouge Ops Lead, Converting Team, and other Operations teams to meet customer demands. The Fulfillment Team supports Geoshield USA’s operational goals by delivering efficient and high-quality fulfillment processes.

Key Objectives

• Execute picking and packing of orders to meet customer delivery schedules.
• Maintain clean, organized, and functional tool rooms and workstations.
• Ensure order accuracy and quality to support customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with the Baton Rouge Ops Lead and Operations teams to align fulfillment with production and inventory goals.
• Contribute to an efficient and reliable fulfillment process aligned with Geoshield USA’s standards.

Responsibilities

• Order Picking and Packing
• Pick orders from inventory based on order specifications, ensuring accuracy in product selection and quantities.
• Pack orders securely for shipping, following standard procedures to prevent damage and ensure proper labeling.
• Report any order discrepancies or issues to the Baton Rouge Ops Lead for resolution.
• Tool Room and Workstation Maintenance
• Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and functionality of the tool room and workstations, ensuring tools and supplies are readily available.
• Perform routine checks on tools and equipment, reporting maintenance needs to the Baton Rouge Ops Lead.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
• Order Verification
• Verify picked and packed orders against customer requirements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Coordinate with the Converting Team to incorporate custom cuts or special components into orders, as needed.
• Conduct quality checks on packed orders to meet Geoshield USA’s standards before shipping.
• Collaboration with Operations
• Work closely with the Baton Rouge Ops Lead to align fulfillment tasks with daily operational priorities and schedules.
• Coordinate with the Converting Team to ensure availability of inventoried products and custom cuts for order fulfillment.
• Support the Production Team by providing feedback on inventory needs for production-related orders.
• Customer Support Coordination
• Collaborate with Customer Relations to address order-related inquiries or issues, ensuring timely communication with customers.
• Provide accurate order status updates to Customer Support for tracking and delivery inquiries.
• Assist the Account Manager with large account orders, ensuring special requirements are met.
• Analytics and Reporting
• Track daily fulfillment activities, such as order completion rates and packing accuracy, providing updates to the Baton Rouge Ops Lead.
• Report any recurring issues or inefficiencies in the fulfillment process to support improvements.
• Contribute data on fulfillment performance to weekly reports, as directed by the Baton Rouge Ops Lead.
• Process Improvement
• Provide feedback on fulfillment workflows to the Baton Rouge Ops Lead to enhance efficiency and reduce errors.
• Participate in training or process improvement initiatives to improve skills and process reliability.
• Support the implementation of new tools or techniques to streamline picking and packing tasks.

Deliverables

• Consistent picking and packing of orders, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment.
• Weekly tool room and workstation maintenance checks, ensuring 100% compliance with cleanliness and safety standards.
• Daily fulfillment task completion updates, supporting operational reporting.
• Accurate order verifications, as assigned, to meet customer and quality standards.
• Feedback on fulfillment processes, as needed, to support continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in warehouse operations, fulfillment, or related roles.
• Proven ability to execute picking and packing tasks efficiently and maintain an organized work environment.
• Basic knowledge of warehouse fulfillment processes, preferably in distribution or manufacturing settings.
• Familiarity with warehouse tools and equipment used in order fulfillment.
• Strong teamwork, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with physical demands.

Performance Metrics

• Demonstrable improvement in fulfillment efficiency and order accuracy within 6 months.
• Demonstrable success in tool room and workstation upkeep within 6 months.
• Positive feedback from the Baton Rouge Ops Lead on task execution, collaboration, and reliability.
• 100% on-time delivery of fulfillment task updates and maintenance checks.

Work Environment

• On-site role based at Geoshield USA’s office in Baton Rouge, LA.
• Close collaboration with the Baton Rouge Ops Lead, Converting Team, Production Team, and Customer Relations.
• Fast-paced environment requiring hands-on effort, attention to detail, and adaptability.

Timeline

• Initial Fulfillment Task Training and Workstation Familiarization: Within 1 week of onboarding.
• First Performance Review: 3 months after start date.

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
