What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registered Land Surveyor position at GeoSearch?

GeoSearch is actively seeking a driven, entrepreneurial Registered Land Surveyor (RLS) to lead and expand our survey practice in Arizona. We will consider candidates in Phoenix, Tempe, and Tucson, AZ.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Practice Leadership: Build and scale the Phoenix survey team. Recruit, train, and mentor field crews while setting a high-performance standard
  • Project Management: Oversee the full project lifecycle—from fieldwork and technical approvals to budgeting and invoicing
  • Technical Oversight: Lead complex, multi-disciplinary surveys (ALTA/NSPS, boundary, control) and ensure all documentation meets regulatory and quality standards
  • Quality Assurance: Serve as the final reviewer for all deliverables, maintaining rigorous quality control and consistency


Qualifications:
  • Licensure: Arizona RLS certification required, or LSIT with the ability to obtain licensure promptly
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of professional land surveying experience
  • Technical Proficiency: Expertise with GPS, robotic total stations, and modern survey software. Familiarity with Trimble Access/TBC or AutoCAD is a strong advantage
  • Field Readiness: Valid driver’s license required for site visits and field operations
