Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm, providing detailed descriptions of dishes and specials.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring all requests are clearly communicated to the kitchen and bar staff.
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation, sanitation, and food safety.
- Upsell menu items and beverage options to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities.
- Manage guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns swiftly, and ensuring a positive dining experience.
- Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering systems, including cash handling and credit card processing.
- Complete closing work when being the last server to clock in.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth restaurant operations during busy nights or events like special functions.
- Follow all sanitation, food handling, and safety protocols in accordance with health regulations.
- Support kitchen staff with basic food preparation or food handling tasks as needed.
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude that enhances guest interactions.
- Culinary experience or background in food preparation enhances ability to describe dishes confidently.
- Excellent time management skills to juggle multiple tables efficiently during peak hours.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
- Previous restaurant experience desirable but NOT required
- Ability to upsell menu items effectively while maintaining guest satisfaction.
