What are the responsibilities and job description for the LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) position at Georgia Vascular & Interventional, LLC?
Georgia Vascular & Interventional, LLC is seeking a part-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for an outpatient Vascular and Interventional practice located in Griffin, GA.
The hours will be Monday thru Thursday PRN 7:30 am to 5:30 pm.
No call and no weekends are required. This day shift opportunity provides an excellent work/life balance.
Essential Duties:
Must excel in obtaining IV access. If you cannot start an IV please do not apply!!
Provide medication under the direction of a physician.
Screens patients prior to invasive procedures.
Responsible for preparing patients for procedures and monitoring patients after procedures. Performs pre and post procedure patient education.
Prepares medication according to protocols.
Assist the physician seeing patients for routine clinic visits and follow up.
Will work alongside the physician, other nurses (RN), and Radiologic Technologists. Procedures performed under x-ray guidance so must wear lead apron during procedures. Must be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Candidate must be friendly, have an outgoing personality, and be able to get along with all staff members.
Education and Training:
Graduation from a state accredited school of professional nursing.
1 year experience preferred, but not required.
Must have current LPN license.
Drug Screen will be required.
