Poetry@Tech is one of the most well-known poetry organizations in the country. Founded in 2001 under the leadership of acclaimed poet Thomas Lux, our mission is to bring high-profile and celebrated poets, as well as new and existing voices, to Atlanta, and to share the art of poetry with Georgia Tech students and communities across Georgia.
Each year, Poetry@Tech organizes programs to promote poetry and poetics. Our acclaimed poetry reading series has introduced audiences to hundreds of legendary poets and critis, including Pulitzer Prize and National Book Award winners, MacArthur, Genius, Grant recipients, and other beloved authors. We also host workshops, craft talks, conversations about poetry, Atlanta-wide poetry festivals, poet-in-school programs, and other activities.
Job Summary
Coordinate and provide professional and administrative support for targeted programs and/or projects and unit initiatives. This position will interact on a regular basis with: Faculty and staff. This position typically will advise and counsel: Faculty and staff. This position will supervise: NA.
Responsibilities
Job Duty 1 -
Plan, execute, and provide assistance for meeting and event logistics and scheduling
Job Duty 2 -
Establish schedules, oversee arrangements, and provide logistics support for targeted programs and/or projects and unit initiatives
Job Duty 3 -
Evaluate, assess, and report on the feasibility and sustainability of potential programs, projects, and initiatives
Job Duty 4 -
Provide necessary support related to the identification and execution of adopted unit programs/projects and other unit initiatives
Job Duty 5 -
Develop, arrange/coordinate meetings and project materials for distribution, as necessary
Job Duty 6 -
Compile, organize and analyze data for use in reports for targeted programs/projects and other unit initiatives
Job Duty 7 -
Monitor and update appropriate stakeholders of progress/milestones for program/project objectives
Job Duty 8 -
Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
Technical Diploma, Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Experience
Three to five years job related experience
Preferred Qualifications
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in business administration, business management, education, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Experience
Five or more years of job-related experience
Excellent written and verbal communication, customer service, and organizational skills
Excellent design skills for event flyers, social media, and website updating. Familiarity and experience with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Canva. Basic coding skills in HTML and CSS can also be beneficial.
Excellent Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills
The ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and/or within a team environment

Anticipated salary range of $55,029 to $74,841 will be commensurate with qualifications.
Other Information
This is a limited-term position and is subject to the availability of funding thereafter. All employment and assignments are ultimately contingent upon available funding, business needs, and your performance of the assignment. Georgia Tech retains the right to terminate this assignment at any time for cause or, in its sole discretion, for convenience; in either case, Georgia Tech's obligation shall be limited to payment for hours and/or days worked prior to the termination date.
Please note: This is a part time role that can have up to 20 hours a week.
