Job Summary

Provide administrative office support services for faculty affairs to include managing incoming office communication and document management, organizing and preparing reports and correspondence, data entry, and may handle event management and limited financial administration duties.

This position will interact on a consistent basis Faculty Affairs/Unit management and staff, Faculty Affairs representatives and contacts within units, faculty members, and office visitors

Will provide advice and counsel to: Faculty Affairs representatives and contacts

This position will supervise: N/A

Responsibilities

Job Duty 1 -
Receive, process, and manage electronic and physical document files including transcripts and other documentation associated with faculty workforce data and records

Job Duty 2 -
Maintain faculty workforce data records information in relevant databases, document management, and related software systems

Job Duty 3 -
Provide administrative support to the department and Director, including email, telephone, and in-person customer service for faculty, staff, and other office visitors as needed

Job Duty 4 -
May coordinate event logistics and provide financial administration support for unit faculty programming and other events and services as needed

Job Duty 5 -
Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
Technical Diploma, Associate's Degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Required Experience
Three to five years of job-related experience

Preferred Qualifications

Additional Preferred Qualifications
Working knowledge of policies and procedures that govern academic human resources and faculty administration, including hiring and promotion and tenure.

Preferred Educational Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or higher in Business Administration, Human Resource Management, or related field

Preferred Experience
Preferably three to five years of experience working knowledge of policies and procedures governing academic human resources and faculty administration, including hiring, promotion, and tenure. Advanced document production and management skills, records management, problem-solving, and office organization.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

SKILLS
General office administration includes document preparation and processing, records management, event planning and organization, and basic financial transactions. Skilled in verbal and written communications, customer service and planning. Use of office and specialized computer applications and database systems and electronic document management is required.
