Job Summary
Assist the Chief Information Security Officer and IT Security Engineer with the implementation and monitoring of security measures for IT systems. Assist in planning, coordination, and implementation of University security practices through the development and implementation of policies, standards, and procedures. Aids in developing and delivering Cyber training strategy for the University Community.
Responsibilities
- Provide statistics and supporting information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends relating to IT Security and make recommendations for enhancements
- Perform routine vulnerability management services that include vulnerability identification, generating vulnerability remediation or mitigation requirements, and validation testing
- Assist in conducting risk assessments to identify security risks and quantify exposures
- Stay up to date on latest security threats, countermeasures, industry trends, regulations and best practices
- Collaborates with IT teams to strengthen security design and strategy
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
Required Experience
- Three (3) or more years of related work experience or CISSP, GIAC Certification, or CompTIA Security
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Experience
- Experience working in higher education
Proposed Salary
Commensurate with Experience
This is an exempt position paid on a monthly basis.
