Duties
- Coordinate between kitchen staff and servers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of food orders
- Verify that dishes meet quality standards before serving, maintaining presentation and temperature
- Assist with food running duties, delivering orders promptly to tables while providing friendly guest service
- Support cleaning and bussing efforts by clearing tables, resetting dining areas, and maintaining cleanliness in service zones
- Handle manual lifting of food trays, dishes, and supplies following safe lifting practices to prevent injury
- Operate POS systems such as Shift4 POS or Micros POS for order processing when needed
- Communicate effectively with team members to relay special requests or dietary needs from guests
Restaurant Expeditor Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality environments preferred but not required
- Knowledge of food handling safety standards and proper sanitation procedures
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during busy service periods
- Strong communication skills with a focus on in-person customer service excellence
- Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Basic understanding of food preparation, kitchen operations, and culinary terminology
- Enthusiastic team player with a positive attitude and a passion for guest services
