What are the responsibilities and job description for the Live - Out Nanny for a Family in Morningside position at Georgia's Dream Nannies, Inc.?
Dream Nannies is helping a sweet family in Atlanta find a loving, nurturing, and highly engaged full-time nanny for their infant son. This family is looking for someone who can arrive at 8:30 AM each morning for a smooth handoff from Mom and Dad, with a typical weekly schedule of 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM Monday through Thursday, and 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM on Fridays—averaging 42.5 hours per week. Both parents work from home a few days a week and are looking for a proactive, professional nanny who can take the lead with confidence and care.
The nanny’s day will be centered completely around their baby boy, from feeding him, helping him stay on a consistent eating and sleeping schedule, to engaging him in meaningful play such as tummy time, sensory activities, reading, and lots of singing, dancing, and talking to encourage mental and physical development. As he grows, the family would love for the nanny to introduce age-appropriate outings such as visits to the zoo, botanical gardens, and aquarium.
This family is seeking someone who can be both calm and creative—someone who will be silly with their baby, sing songs and bring joy and warmth into their home. Communication is important to this family; they appreciate timely updates about feedings, naps, and diaper changes. The ideal candidate will be intuitive and proactive, taking initiative with household tasks and baby care without needing to check in constantly.
The nanny will be responsible for all things baby-related—keeping the nursery tidy, staying on top of laundry (including family laundry), unloading the dishwasher, restocking diaper stations, washing bottles, trimming baby’s nails, and letting the family know when supplies are low. Light housekeeping related to the baby is expected, such as vacuuming the floors when needed, especially since the baby will be spending time on the ground.
Flexibility is key, as there may be occasional early start times, overnight care if both parents are out of town, and potential future travel. This is a wonderful role for a nanny who wants to grow with a family, be an essential part of a child’s early years, and bring a sense of joy, structure, and partnership into the home.
