Residential Assistant

Georgia Recovery Campus is a dual diagnosis detox/residential evidence-based substance abuse treatment center located in Reynolds, Georgia.

Our mission is to inspire hope and deliver care to those with substance abuse and mental health issues in a contemporary and healing environment. Our facility offers services that are designed to promote medical, rehabilitative, and emotional health. We are devoted to achieving hope, healing and enhanced self-esteem on the journey to recovery.

Responsibilities:

• Knowledge of the company and services offered and can accurately describe this information to new clients.
• Maintains professional boundaries with clients and interacts with them in an appropriate manner.
• Assisting medical or kitchen staff with any other related tasks.
• Assist in the admission process (UA collection, searching property, BA testing, sanitation, etc.).
• Thoroughly searches individuals’ belongings upon admission and properly disposes of any forbidden items.
• Properly logs and stores individuals’ belongings.
• Always demonstrates proper handwashing techniques and uses gloves whenever necessary.
• Assists with the discharge process and completes all necessary documentation.
• Participates in facility quality improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities for efficiency and improved patient experience
• Support organizational and departmental philosophies, goals, and objectives and through own behavior lead and motivate others to do so.
• Any other related tasks as assigned.
• Ensure the well-being of Clients and provide a positive, supportive, and structured environment.
• Responsible for conducting safety checks and ensuring that supervision is conducted in regular intervals.
• Observe behaviors and communicate significant observations to clinical and nursing staff.
• Engage clients in interactions, group therapy and activities designed to encourage achievement of treatment goals and increase therapeutic coping skills.
• Complete and maintain required documentation. Complete paperwork as required on incidents and events that may take place at the facility.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent critical and forward-thinking skills.
• Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check.

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Reynolds, GA 31076: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Caregiving: 1 year (Preferred)
• RA: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• CPR Certification (Preferred)
