Role Description
We are seeking a full-time Nurse Aide Instructor for an on-site position at our Covington, GA location. The Nurse Aide Instructor will be responsible for delivering engaging, high-quality instruction to students in accordance with GPTC’s curriculum and program standards. Responsibilities include developing lesson plans, overseeing practical skills training, evaluating student performance, preparing students for certification exams, and maintaining appropriate documentation for student progress. The instructor will also foster a positive learning environment, address diverse learning needs, and comply with state and institutional guidelines.
Qualifications
- Strong instructional skills, including lesson planning, classroom management, and the ability to foster a supportive learning environment
- Proven expertise in nursing or healthcare, supported by current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Georgia and a minimum of two years of work experience in long-term care or related settings
- Completed Train the Trainer Nurse Aide Training
- Ability to teach both theoretical knowledge and hands-on practical skills relevant to nurse aide training
- Proficiency in assessing student performance, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with educational standards
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- A Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in nursing (or equivalent field) and a commitment to lifelong learning and professional development
- Experience in adult education or teaching is highly preferred
