What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Assistant position at Georgia Lions Camp for the Blind?
Position Summary:
The Maintenance Assistant will assist the Facilities Manager with grounds and facilities maintenance. This is a temporary position from April-September.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with grounds maintenance (string trimming, edging, debris cleanup, mowing,
etc.)
- Assist with facilities repair and maintenance (plumbing, electrical, HVAC systems,
etc.)
- Assist with equipment maintenance (mowers, string trimmer, edger)
- Perform housekeeping duties as needed
Minimum Qualifications:
- At least 18 years of age by start date.
- Ability to work outdoors while standing, bending, and kneeling.
Preferred Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of operating and maintaining lawn care equipment.
- Know how to use hand tools and power tools
