Position Details
- Location: W. Los Angeles, CA
- Work Model: Structured Hybrid (Starts remote until the LA office is identified later this year, then onsite 2-3 days a week)
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of backend services and APIs to support Retail platform operations, including release engineering, DevOps pipelines, and system integrations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (QA, Security, Infrastructure) to ensure seamless deployment and performance of Retail services.
- Drive technical initiatives to improve CI/CD workflows, observability, and platform reliability.
- Implement monitoring and alerting solutions to ensure SLA adherence and rapid incident response.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering best practices across the Retail domain.
- Partner with business stakeholders to translate platform requirements into scalable technical solutions.
Qualifications & Requirements
General Requirements:

- Bachelor''s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
Technical Qualifications:
- 7 years of software engineering experience, with 2 years in a technical lead role.
- Proficiency in languages, platforms, and libraries such as C#, .NET, SQL Server, Cosmos DB, Event Hubs, and Service Bus.
- Strong understanding of RESTful API design, OAuth2, and microservices architecture.
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred) and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and ArgoCD.
- Knowledge of container orchestration, release automation, and platform observability tools (e.g., Datadog, Prometheus).
- Experience implementing secure coding practices and compliance workflows in regulated environments.
- Understanding of secure development processes in regulated environments (e.g., PCI DSS, SOC 2).
- Experience with Agile methodologies and concepts using JIRA or similar tools.
- Strong analytical, multitasking, and organizational skills to manage testing on multiple projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a fast-paced fintech organization.
- Familiarity with Core Banking domains, stability, and release management experience.
- Contributions to open-source projects or technical publications.
- Demonstrated leadership in building scalable platform engineering practices.
