Student Assistant - Athletic Facility/Fields - Temporary Part-time

Georgia Highlands College is a multi-campus, state college member of the University System of Georgia. Founded in 1970 as Floyd Junior College, it now serves more than 6,000 students in Northwest Georgia and Northeast Alabama across its five locations in Rome, Cartersville, Marietta, and Dallas. This position directly participates in the daily maintenance and preparation of the GHC athletic facility/fields.

• Is responsible for understanding, support, and carrying out the college's mission, vision, and values and comply with mandates and regulations of government and accrediting bodies
• Oversees the use of baseball and softball facility during external rentals
• Ensures proper care of the playing surface, restroom, concession, and batting facility
• Communicates with campus security and athletic department as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Currently enrolled as a GHC student in good academic standing
• Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with the completion of a High School diploma or equivalent
• Must be available to work hours as needed when facilities are in use

$12.00 per hour

• Experience, special skills, knowledge, and abilities to maintain facility/fields as required

• Ability to effectively communicate with contacts
