What You’ll Do
As a Histotechnician, you will play a critical role in the diagnostic process by preparing high-quality tissue specimens for microscopic evaluation.
Responsibilities include
- Perform all aspects of histology: processing, embedding, microtomy, and staining
- Execute immunohistochemical (IHC) and direct immunofluorescence (DIF) staining
- Assist with control tissue selection and validation in collaboration with the pathologist
- Operate and maintain automated IHC platforms
- Perform antibody dilutions and validation of new antibody lots
- Troubleshoot staining and technical issues to ensure optimal results
- Maintain strict compliance with CLIA regulations and QA/QC standards
- Manage workflow efficiently in a high-volume environment without compromising quality
What We’re Looking For
- HT or HTL (ASCP) Certification – Required
- 2 years of dermatology/skin histotechnology experience – Preferred
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to prioritize and stay organized in a fast-paced lab
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative culture
