Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site position for a Correctional Officer located in Reidsville, GA. The Correctional Officer will be responsible for supervising inmates to maintain the security of the facility and ensure safety for all individuals. Daily tasks include enforcing rules and regulations, conducting security checks, monitoring inmate activities, and responding to emergencies. Additional responsibilities may involve overseeing inmate programs, preparing reports, and assisting with rehabilitation efforts.
Qualifications
- Supervisory Skills with the ability to lead and manage inmates and ensure compliance with facility policies
- Knowledge of Criminal Justice and expertise in Law Enforcement practices
- Strong Physical Security skills with proficiency in maintaining a secure environment
- Capability to conduct training and mentorship for inmates or fellow staff
- Effective communication, conflict resolution, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work in a structured, high-pressure environment
- Completion of formal law enforcement or correctional officer training preferred
- High School diploma or equivalent; additional education in criminal justice is an advantage
