Job Summary
The Student Success Coordinator position plays a pivotal role in fostering a supportive campus environment, which is crucial for student retention and success. The Student Success Coordinator will help to ensure that students have the necessary tools and support to achieve their educational and career goals. This role will support the facilitation of workshops and events, coordinate campus resources, and work closely with students, faculty, and staff to identify and address students' needs, ultimately enhancing the overall student experience. In addition to providing personalized guidance, resources, and support services to help students navigate academic, personal challenges, and career planning, the coordinator will also perform administrative assistant tasks. These tasks include managing schedules, coordinating meetings, maintaining accurate records, and handling correspondence.
Responsibilities
Direct Student Support and Guidance 45%
Provide personalized academic and personal outreach to students, helping them navigate challenges and plan their educational and career paths through one on one and group appointments.
Offer resources and referrals to campus and community services to support students' well-being and success.
Coordination of Campus Resources 5%
Serve as a liaison between students and various campus resources, ensuring they have access to tools and support.
Work closely with academic departments and student services to address and resolve student concerns.
Administrative Support - 40
Manage schedules and coordinate meetings, ensuring efficient use of time and resources.
Maintain accurate records, including student files and program documentation.
Handle correspondence, including emails and phone calls, in a professional and timely manner.
Serve as an office greeter, providing a welcoming and helpful presence for students and visitors.
Create and distribute informational materials to promote services and programs.
Maintain regular communication with students, faculty, and staff to keep them informed of available resources and opportunities.
Support planning, organizing, and facilitating workshops and events aimed at enhancing student development and success.
Assist in assessing the effectiveness of programs and services, collecting and analyzing data to inform improvements.
Collaboration and Networking 5%
Build and maintain relationships with campus and community partners to enhance student support services.
Participate in campus committees and task forces related to student success and retention initiatives.
Other 5%
Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Required Education - Bachelor's Degree
Required Experience - At least 6 months experience providing customer service, mentoring, administrative support, tutoring, facilitating programs, or event planning
Proposed Salary
This position is a pay grade 7. The available salary range is $40,729.00 to $42,500.00. Starting salary within this range is based on relevant years of experience.
