What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Missions position at Georgia Baptist Mission Board?
The Catawba River Baptist Association in Morganton, NC is searching for its next
Director of Missions. The Director of Missions will be a full-time man who has been
called by the Lord to lead and to minister alongside the churches of the association.
The Catawba River Baptist Association is “a fellowship of Churches-on-Mission.” Each
Church is independent and autonomous, but we have made a covenant, or agreement,
to work cooperatively together to reach people for Jesus. The 67 churches of the
Catawba River Baptist Association know that we can do much more by working
cooperatively as partners than any church could do alone.
The association is affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention and the North
Carolina Baptist Convention. The Catawba River Baptist Association is located in
beautiful western North Carolina. We are comprised of 67 churches located in Burke
County where the population is around 90,000 people.
Our mission is: Uniting and strengthening CRBA churches to be on mission in building
the kingdom of Christ in the community and beyond.

- View of the Bible: authoritative, inerrant, infallible, inspired, and sufficient
- Endorsement of and agreement with the Baptist Faith & Message 2000 and the
- Missions and evangelisms as priorities
- Team builder with all size churches and intentionally cooperative with our Baptist
- Love of the local church
- Leadership with administrative gifts
- Vision and passion for ministry
- 10 years of ministry experience (pastoral, church staff, convention staff, or ministry
- Director of Missions experience (preferable)
- Preaching and teaching experience
- Good listener, encourager, and pastoral resource
- Bachelor’s degree (preferable)
