What are the responsibilities and job description for the bi-vocational pastor position at Georgia Baptist Mission Board?
We are looking for a bi-vocational pastor.
A Little About Us As a Congregation
We are a small congregation who strongly desire to serve our risen Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We hope and pray to serve the many communities God has us dispersed in through our day to day lives. If God sees fit to increase the number of congregants we would be pleased, but we do not hold that to be our main focus. Our focus, rather, is to come together to worship and praise our heavenly Father and enjoy fellowship with one another and seek to be encouraged and edified so that we then can go back out the following week to serve our savior in the places He has placed us. We understand the role of the pastor is to equip the saints and our task is to be the hands and feet of Christ in the fallen world around us.
Our Expectations For Our Pastor
Our only expectations for the man that God calls to our church is that you be a shepherd to the brothers and sisters in Christ that God has placed in this congregation. We expect that you will be able to encourage, edify, and equip the members of the congregation to be the hands and feet of Christ. We expect that you will be able to rightly handle the word of God and rightly divide it and teach it accurately according to the whole of Scripture.
