We are a mission-driven, growing organization seeking a passionate Communications Specialist to help advance our mission through compelling storytelling, strategic marketing, and engaging content.
The Communications Specialist reports to the Director of Communications and supports both digital and traditional marketing initiatives. You’ll collaborate across teams to develop creative campaigns, manage content, and elevate GBF’s voice across multiple platforms.
You’ll bring expertise in:
- Marketing strategy
- Graphic design (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
- Video and photo editing (Premiere, Lightroom)
- Copywriting and content creation
- Web design (WordPress, Elementor, Divi, Beaver Builder, Breakdance)
- Email marketing (HubSpot, MailChimp)
If you’re a creative communicator with a heart for ministry and a talent for visual storytelling, this role is for you.
- Email Campaigns: Manage segmented email campaigns in HubSpot and MailChimp; support initiatives like Giving Tuesday and Church Financial Conferences (CFC).
- Web & Content: Write and edit web copy, update landing pages, and maintain giving platform configurations.
- Social Media: Manage content calendars, direct content production, and oversee paid ads across Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
- Analytics & Reporting: Collect and analyze survey data, compile registration reports, and refine quarterly updates for donors and board members.
- Event Marketing: Plan and execute marketing strategies for key events (CFCs, Annual Meetings, Women’s Events, etc.).
- Print & Promotional: Oversee design and production of materials, signage, and branded giveaways.
- Content Creation: Write articles, edit copy, and develop scripts and speech notes for leadership.
- Mail Campaigns: Manage branded merchandise and stakeholder correspondence.
- Team Support: Assist with event setup, logistics, and inventory.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Manage contact updates, respond to inquiries, and support donor engagement.
- Creativity: Visual storyteller who can engage and inspire across formats.
- Accountability: Excellent time management and attention to detail.
- Communication: Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
- Initiative: Self-starter with drive to improve systems and processes.
- Adaptability: Open-minded, flexible, and responsive to change.
- Collaboration: Works well across teams and values shared creativity.
- Bachelor’s in Graphic Design, Communications, Media, or Strategic Communication
- 5 years of professional experience in communications, design, or marketing
- Compelling portfolio showcasing a range of creative work
- Experience with WordPress, HubSpot, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office
- Bonus: Photography, Videography, or Web Development skills
