Join Georgia Banking Company's Summer Banking Internship Program, designed to provide hands-on experience and exposure to multiple areas of community banking. Over the course of 9 weeks, interns will be aligned to a primary line of business gaining valuable experience on how that business division functions and contributes to the success of GBC.
Lines Of Business May Include
- Commercial Lending - Learn how businesses secure financing, analyze creditworthiness, and support growth through tailored lending solution
- Commercial Real Estate (CRE) - gain insight into the fundamentals of commercial real estate lending, including property valuation, risk assessment, and market analysis.
- Treasury Services - Explore cash management strategies, payment solutions, and liquidity optimization for corporate clients
- Risk & Credit - Understand risk assessment, credit analysis, and compliance processes that safeguard the bank and its clients.
- Assist teams with real-world projects and client deliverables.
- Conduct research, analyze financial data, and prepare reports.
- Participate in meetings, shadow experienced professionals, and contribute to team discussions.
- Engage in professional development sessions and networking events.
- Learn how a community bank serves businesses and individuals in the local economy.
- Final Presentation: Conclude the internship by delivering a formal group presentation to the Executive Leadership Team. The presentation will address an area of particularinterest to the bank at that time.
Who We’re Looking For
- Current college students (rising juniors or seniors) pursuing degrees in Finance, Business, Economics, or related fields.
- Minimum overall GPA of 3.5
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Interest in banking and financial services.
- Local candidates are preferred. (We do not provide relocation assistance.)
