Job Overview
This role serves the Center for Multicultural Equity & Access, part of Georgetown’s effort to promote a racially and socio-economically diverse student body by providing enhanced educational opportunities for first-generation, low-income middle and high school students. The instructor will teach middle school and high school core or elective subjects. The instructor will play a crucial role in fostering intellectual growth, cultural understanding, and personal development among a diverse student population. The ideal candidate for this position will possess strong patience, teaching, and organizational skills, and demonstrated interest in diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.
Work Interactions
The Pre-College Instructor will primarily engage with middle and high school students to provide a supportive educational environment. In addition, the Pre-College instructor reports to CMEA’s Director and/or Faculty Coordinator

Requirements and Qualifications
- Professional experience tutoring or teaching a classroom.
- Professional or personal experience with underserved students of color.
- Professional experience with curriculum development and standards of practice
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to connect with and inspire diverse groups of students.
- A commitment to fostering inclusivity, cultural awareness, and equity in education.
