Position Summary
The Advancement Associate supports the mission of Georgetown Preparatory School by assisting in all aspects of the Advancement Office, including annual giving, donor relations, events, database management, and communications. This position plays a key role in fostering strong relationships with parents, alumni, faculty, and friends of the school, helping to strengthen a culture of philanthropy and engagement.

Primary Responsibilities
Annual Fund & Donor Support
- Assist in planning and executing Prep’s annual fund campaigns

Efforts to retain donors and increase annual giving revenue
- Support donor stewardship efforts, including impact reporting and recognition

Support solicitation and research activity utilizing CRM data and other digital tools
Events & Engagement

Provide logistical and administrative support for advancement events (e.g., gala, alumni gatherings, reunion weekend, donor receptions, parent events)
- Coordinate event communications, invitations, RSVPs, and follow-up
- Assist with volunteer management and event-day execution
Communications

Draft and edit donor correspondence, appeals, newsletters, and stewardship materials
- Support social media and website updates related to advancement initiatives
- Assist with preparing reports and presentations for leadership and board meetings
Alumni & Parent Relations

Maintain alumni and parent records
- Support alumni engagement initiatives and parent volunteer programs
- Assist in coordinating class agents and fundraising volunteers
Administrative Support

Manage calendars, schedules, and meeting logistics for advancement leadership
- Prepare mailing lists and manage segmented outreach
- Maintain office supplies
- Generate reports and analyze participation and giving data
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required
- 1–3 years of experience in advancement, development, nonprofit administration, or related field preferred
- Experience with fundraising databases (e.g., Raiser’s Edge, Veracross, Salesforce, or similar) strongly preferred
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Collaborative spirit and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
