What are the responsibilities and job description for the Salesperson - Georgetown Pottery, Woolwich Location position at Georgetown Pottery?
We’re looking for a friendly, experienced salesperson at our Woolwich location! This is for Wednesday-Saturday shifts. Must be available year-round. Pay based on experience.
In addition to our own locally made pottery, we sell a variety of fine homegoods & jewelry made by crafters throughout New-England & the US.
Responsibilities:
- Provide positive customer service by assisting shoppers with product selection, inquiries, and purchases
- Process transactions accurately using point-of-sale system
- Maintain a clean and organized sales floor to maintain a welcoming atmosphere
- Unpack pottery & product deliveries
Requirements:
- Previous experience in retail sales, preferably in an art focused environment
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage and build rapport with customers
- Ability to multi-task and be a self-starter
- Job can be physically demanding at times as pottery is weighty - you must be able to lift approx 40 pounds and stand for long periods/climb stairs.
- Must have reliable transportation
