Description
Georgetown Market has an immediate opening for a full- or part-time Prep Cook in the Eatery. This position must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure ingredients and final products are fresh and of a high quality.
- Follow recipes, including measuring, weighing and mixing ingredients.
- Bake, grill, steam and boil meats, vegetables, fish, poultry and other foods.
- Present, garnish and arrange final dishes.
- Occasionally serve food.
- Function well in a fast-paced, busy environment as part of a team.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area, including handling utensils, equipment and dishes.
- Handle and store ingredients and food.
- Must maintain all food safety and sanitation standards.
- Perform other kitchen duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Familiarity of health and safety guidelines in a kitchen.
- Up to 6 months related work experience.
- Good communication skills.
