Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Georgetown, TX, for a School Nurse. The School Nurse will oversee the health and wellness of students, administer first aid, manage chronic health conditions, and maintain compliance with state and district health regulations. Additional responsibilities include conducting health screenings, maintaining student health records, providing health education, and collaborating with staff, parents, and healthcare providers to support student well-being.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in School Nursing and School Health practices
- Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Expertise in Nursing with a focus on Pediatrics and child development
- Strong knowledge of Medicine and healthcare protocols relevant to school environments
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with students, parents, and staff
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas
- Certification in CPR and First Aid required
- Experience in educational or pediatric healthcare settings is preferred
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student health and academic success
