What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeper/Laundry Attendant position at Georgetown Inn?
The Georgetown Inn in south Seattle is seeking a full-time or part-time housekeeping/laundry attendant. We strive to maintain a comfortable, clean, and friendly environment for guests and staff, and that's where you come in! We're looking for candidates who are service minded, energetic and have the ability to work well in a team environment.
Duties:
- Clean guest rooms including changing the bed linens and cleaning and replenishing the bathroom amenities
- Vacuum carpet and floors, dust all areas and straighten furniture
- Check the general conditions of the room and notify supervisor of any malfunction or damage to furniture or other property
- Wash and fold laundry
- Clean indoor and outdoor public areas of the property
- Maintain employee work areas including the housekeeping closets and laundry room
- Sort and empty trash, recycling and compost
- Provide great guest service
- Prevent loss and damage to hotel property by ensuring guest rooms and housekeeping closets are safe and secure
Requirements:
- Must be able to stand, walk and bend for long periods of time
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work with little or no supervision
- Must be available to work on weekdays, weekends and holidays
- Flexible and willing to learn all aspects of the housekeeping department
- Above average attendance and positive attitude needed
- Must pass a criminal background check and provide professional references
RETENTION BONUS:
Upon completion of the employment term on or around October 31, 2026, employee will be eligible for a $500 bonus.
