JOB DESCRIPTION:

Director of Brand Marketing and Sales

As Director of Brand Marketing & Sales, you will lead both the brand experience and the teams behind it — from vision to execution. You will lead the strategy across marketing, brand identity, merchandise, and our catering and events sales business — ensuring every touchpoint reflects who we are and drives measurable revenue. This is a senior, hands-on leadership role at the intersection of creative vision and commercial execution that operates at every level — from the creative vision and commercial strategy that define the brand to the in-restaurant moments that bring it to life.

Salary Range - $90,000 - $110.000 commensurate with experience

What You'll Do

  • Brand & Marketing — Define and execute brand strategy across all Company concepts, owning voice, identity, social, campaigns, PR, and web from direction to delivery
  • Catering & Events Sales — Help oversee and direct revenue targets, help engage on high-value opportunities, and manage the systems and processes that keep the pipeline moving
  • Merchandise — Build seasonal and evergreen product lines that extend the brand, overseeing go-to-market execution and tracking performance to continuously refine the assortment
  • Team & Operations — Lead a cross-functional team across marketing, creative, sales, and catering & events while managing budgets, vendors, and the reporting cadences that keep leadership informed

You'll Thrive Here If You…

  • Think in brand equity and revenue simultaneously — as energized by a great campaign as you are by a closed event contract
  • Have a strong creative point of view and the discipline to execute it consistently at scale
  • Know how to build a merchandise strategy that feels like a natural extension of a brand, not an afterthought
  • Have led catering or events sales and understand the full lifecycle from pitch to post-event
  • Are a natural relationship builder — with clients, partners, and the teams you lead
  • Love the hospitality world and bring genuine enthusiasm for food, people, and place
  • Can zoom out to set strategy and zoom in to solve a problem on a Tuesday afternoon

Qualifications

  • 7–10 years of leadership experience in hospitality, marketing, catering sales, or multi-unit restaurant operations
  • Proven ability to operate at a senior leadership level and influence cross-department execution
  • Demonstrated success driving revenue growth through marketing and sales strategy
  • Strong understanding of hospitality operations, guest experience, and event sales
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to coordinate across departments and leadership
  • Highly organized with exceptional project management and strategic planning abilities
  • Ability to think creatively while also executing with operational discipline
  • Proficiency with marketing platforms, social media tools, SEO/SEM and digital marketing strategy
  • Experience with sales and event management platforms such as Tripleseat
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
  • Ability to travel seasonally between Washington, DC and other markets as potentially needed

It is understood that there may sometimes be tasks or needs that fall outside of this description, and it is expected the employee will use sound judgment to manage these tasks, completing them where needed and asking for assistance or direction as appropriate.
