Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Coordinator to oversee the daily operations of our residential care facilities. Responsibilities
- Ensures adequate staff coverage in each residence 24 hours per day, seven days a week
- Supervises and trains unit staff in the care, supervision and treatment of residents relative to personal adjustment, development of social skills, personal hygiene, communication skills and independent living skills.
- Evaluates job performance of DSN staff and counsels in areas of deficiency according to standards that apply.
- Oversee cleanliness in each facility to assure maintenance.
- Monitors each shift periodically for deficiencies in performance of work or identification or training needs.
- Maintains financial records and census reports.
- Supervises repairs and maintenance to home
- Arranges for surveys, health and fire inspections.
- Ensures that health, safety and fire safety requirements for the facilities are maintained.
- Schedules staff meetings and staff development training as requested by the Residential Director.
- Monitors the purchases of supplies and codes the receipts, etc. prior to forwarding to finance.
- Shares responsibility with Residential Director and staff in utilization of community resources to meet residents’ total needs.
- Assists Residential Director in supervising staff implementation of each Individual Program Plan.
- Cooperates with the consultants in meeting the needs of the clients.
- Keeps abreast of all Medicaid/Medicare guidelines pertaining to residential operations.
- Prepares and submits reports as required (Residential Assessments)
- Ensures individual needs are met through staff implementation of goals, BSP’s personal hygiene, social, leisure, nutritional, medical and special activities.
- Assists Residential Director and staff in maintaining a home-like atmosphere for the residents.
- On call for residential staff/individual emergencies.
- Responsible for the upkeep of Personnel Records in the Residential Program.
- Assists the Residential Director in assuring that employees of the residential programs are in compliance with all DHEC Licensing Regulations.
- Acts for the Residential Director in his/her absence.
- Accepts other assigned duties as requested by the Residential Director
- Responsible for residential documentation
- Responsible for training new employees
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with supervisory experience
Preferred Qualifications & Knowledge:
- DDSN Knowledge: Thorough understanding of SC Department of Disabilities and Special Needs (DDSN) directives, policies, and procedures.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with Intermediate Care Facilities for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities (ICF/IID) standards, fire safety, and sanitation.
- Supervisory Skills: Experience supervising staff, monitoring budgets, and providing training.
- Clinical/Care Knowledge: Ability to manage medication errors, behavior intervention plans, and individualized care plans
- Experience: Relevant experience in residential programs (CTH, SLP, CRCF) or human services.
- Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Access), strong organization, time management, and communication skills.
- Requirements: Valid SC Driver’s License and ability to pass background checks (including drug screening, and sex offender registry).
- Proven experience in assisted living, nursing home settings, or home & community care environments.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to working with individuals with disabilities or complex health needs.

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
