Role Description The Adjunct Instructor in Mathematics is a full-time, on-site position located in Georgetown, KY. The instructor will teach undergraduate mathematics courses, prepare and deliver clear and engaging lessons, and design assessments that align with course objectives. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning instruction, grading assignments and exams, holding office hours, and providing academic support and feedback to students. The instructor will collaborate with department colleagues on curriculum alignment, maintain accurate course records, and contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment that supports diverse learners.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge and proficiency in Mathematics and Mathematics Education.
- Demonstrated ability in Lesson Planning and Curriculum Development for college-level courses.
- Experience as a Qualified Teacher, with effective classroom management and instructional skills.
- Master’s degree or higher in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a closely related field (doctorate preferred).
- Commitment to inclusive teaching practices and supporting students with diverse backgrounds and learning styles.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
- Ability to collaborate with faculty and staff, and align courses with departmental and institutional goals.
- Previous college or university teaching experience is highly beneficial.
