What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinary Technician position at Georgetown Animal Hospital?
*TWO YEARS OF VETERINARY EXPERIENCE REQUIRED*
We are looking for a veterinary technician who can successfully fulfill a variety of duties, as listed below. Georgetown Animal Hospital is a fast-paced environment where multitasking and working well under pressure is a must. We can depend on our employees to deliver the best quality care to our clients and patients. Veterinary Technicians support our two doctors to ensure the practice runs smoothly and our clients are satisfied. Lastly, we are looking for someone who is people (and pet!) oriented. The ideal candidate must have previous experience working in a veterinary clinic, and be comfortable working closely with animals.
Please come by our office to pick up and fill out an application. Our practice operates strictly from Monday-Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. We would love to meet you and address any initial questions you may have!
Responsibilities:
- provide excellent customer service to our clients and patients
- draw blood
- administer IV antibiotics
- run IDEXX blood analyzer machine
- assist with x-rays, ear cleaning and nail trims
- handle sensitive patient data while maintaining confidentiality
- occasionally clean examination rooms and the surgery room
Preferences:
- Proficiency in Cornerstone software
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
